Acts 5: Worthy of His Name

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. (verse 41)

To be counted as one who suffered for the sake of Christ is truly an honor.

Acts 4: Pray for Boldness

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word. (verse 29)

Instead of praying for protection from being persecuted, they prayed for boldness to continue preaching.

Acts 3: Action Speaks

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (verse 7)

Action is the proof of the faith that is required for the spoken word to demonstrate power.

Acts 2: The Sound of Salvation

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (verse 21)

The voice that calls out to Jesus will be the sound of their salvation.

Acts 1: Stop Looking Into The Heavens

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; (verse 10)

Time to stop gazing into the heaven and do the that has been set before us.

Mark 16: Touch the Sick

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (verse 18)

We need more Christians who are willing to reach out to touch the sick.

“God wants us all. He will not rest til He gets us all. No part of man will do.”

— A. W. Tozer

“Religions teach us to do good; Jesus teaches us to love.”

Mark 15: Marvellous Silent

But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled. (verse 5)

Accusations sometimes don’t warrant answers.

Mark 14: Never Forget

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her. (verse 9)

Remember, what is done for Jesus will never be forgotten.
