Acts 10: Hear the Spirit

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. (verse 44)

In hearing the Gospel preached, you will witness the demonstration of that power by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 3: Action Speaks

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (verse 7)

Action is the proof of the faith that is required for the spoken word to demonstrate power.

1 John 1: Truth & Word

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (verse 8)

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (verse 10)

Truth is the standard that all will be measured by. Word is the power that exposes lies, cleanses sins and transforms lives to meet the standard of truth.

Titus 1: Wonderfully frightening

But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour. (verse 3)

The commissioning of the eternal word to be manifested through mortal’s lips is wonderfully frightening.
